Mrs. Kang Hyun Shil First Disciple of True Father in South Korea

Rev. Lee’s Introduction:

My name is Sang Yeol Lee. I come from Korea. I stand here today, with a very special instruction from the King. I stand here today to introduce the person who True Father witnessed first, after he came down from North Korea and built his hut on a hillside in Pusan. I like to briefly introduce the history of Mrs. Kang Hyun Shil here, whom I am introducing. Mrs. Kang was born on October 1, 1927 in Yongju, South Korea to a Christian family. She Graduated from the Goryo Theological Seminary in March 1949. This Seminary was established by Christians, who refused to worship at Shinto Shrines during the Japanese Occupation. Christians, who refused to do that, were imprisoned; but, after coming out of prison, they established this Seminary.

This was a Presbyterian Seminary, and while she was a student there, she already became an Evangelist, and pioneered the Beomcheol Presbyterian Church in Pusan, South Korea. Mrs. Kang’s father was one of the Christians who refused to worship at Shinto Shrines, was imprisoned as a result, and was tortured severely while in prison. They released him, when he was about to die. They did not want him to die in prison. He would become a martyr; so, they released him, and he died shortly thereafter, because of his torture. She has inherited that strong faith of her father. The word “Pom” means tiger; so, this geographical name comes from the fact that tigers would appear there.

After she graduated from Seminary, she worked in her Church as an Evangelist. One day, one of the Seminarians entered her Church, and came to her and said, “In my neighborhood, there’s a house actually; and, there’s a man living there, and he’s actually a handsome man, and the way he talks. He sounds like he believed in Jesus; but, I don’t think he is going to any Church, but he saying some very strange things.” So, Mrs. Kang prayed for seven days to asked God whether or not she should go visit this man. Then, finally, she did. She found out he was living in a house made of mud and rocks, and some corrugated cardboard, and iron on the roof, that kind of hut. When Father saw her, he said to her, “God has been giving you a great deal of love for the past seven years.” She said to herself, “He doesn’t look like a fortune teller; but, he sounds like one.”

Father’s age was thirty-three by the Korean way of counting, and Mrs. Kang was twenty-six; and so, she listened to him for a while, and she stood up, and was about to leave; but, Father grabbed her skirt and said, “Stay for dinner;” and, so she ate dinner that day. Father, at the beginning of the meal asked Mrs. Kang to pray; but, she said, “No, I don’t think I can.” So, Father prayed for the meal; but, Mrs. Kang was very moved by Father’s prayer. She realized, in the past, all her prayers have been asking God for things. “Give me this. I want this. I want that;” but, Father’s prayer, he did not ask for anything. He was telling God, “I will do this for you. I will do this for you. I will do this for you.” She was deeply moved by it.

Father spoke to her about the Principle. When people come to our Church, we talk about the General Introduction; then we go chapter by chapter; but, that day Father gave her the lecture on the Second Coming, the last chapter. That is where he began. He told her, when the Lord of the Second Advent comes, he is not going to come on the Clouds with trumpets. Instead, he is going to come as a man, as a human being, and he is going to come to Korea; but, in her heart, she felt, “I’m sure God has a lot better places to send the Messiah than a poor country like Korea.”

Now, Father and Mrs. Kang were in a very small hut, and she was the only one listening to Father. She says when Father was talking to her, he spoke with such passion, it is as if he was speaking to the entire world population, which was 2.4 billion at that time, plus everyone in the Spirit World. So, on May 10, 1952 she became the first person in South Korea to accept Father as the Messiah. Please give her a big round of applause. Kamsamnida!

Then, in August 1952, she was expelled from Goryo Seminary. Then, in 1953 in July, she went to pioneer the Unification Church in the city of Daegu. In this instance, this was the first order for someone to go pioneer the Church. The Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity was established on May 1, 1954; so, she was pioneering churches even before that.

In 1954, in April 1954, she began visiting Christian Churches as other denominations of Christian Churches as an Itinerary Worker to witness to them. In 1956, she pioneered the Unification Church in the city of Taejeon. In 1957, she pioneered churches in the city of Gwang Ju. In July 1959, she began preaching every day at the Pagoda Park in Seoul. This is a park located in the center of Seoul; and, she preached there every day for seven years rain or shine. In July 1967, she was appointed as the Regional leader in the area of Masan, and she began doing Pastoral work there. Then in July 1970, she pioneered the church in Pusanjin. In January of 1971, she was appointed as special Itinerary Worker for all of Korea. In 1974, she began working for interfaith work for the inter denomination association, and she worked there for twenty years. In 1991, she was appointed as an Itinerate Worker for Japan, and she began working in Japan. From March of 1994, she was appointed as the responsible person for the East Tokyo Region. In August 1996, she was appointed as the National Messiah for Russia, and she worked there for four years. In the year 2,000 she was appointed in the Seodawmun Region in Seoul. Then in 2001, she was appointed as the responsible person for Home town of Yongju. From 2001 until the present she has been an advisor for the Women’s Federation for World Peace. Mrs. Kang has been Blessed by Father to St. Augustine. For 65 years, she has worked with absolute faith to accomplish True Father’s will.

She had to overcome many difficulties in order to be here with us, today; but, she wanted to be here, because she wanted to uphold Father’s Word, the Second King and the True Cain. Rev. Lee feels this way.

Father began the Providence in South Korea in Pusan, and the Second King has begun his Providence in the wilderness of Pennsylvania; and, he and True Cain, Kook Jin Nim, has followed True Father with absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience. They have set that vertical condition; and, horizontally has set up the Foundation of Substance through the victory of Donald Trump as the forty-fifth President of the United States. So, I think that is why Father has called Mrs. Kang here, so that the First and Second Kingships can be represented together as the Cheon Il Goong Palace has opened on January 1, 2017. So let us welcome her with a warm round of applause.

Mrs. Kang spoke in English the following statement:

Good morning, everybody! I am glad to see you. I have not seen you for a long time; so, today, I am very happy, very, very happy to see you. I start speaking in Korean, now.

I began sixty-five years ago, with Father; and, until now, I have worked to bring truth and happiness to all humanity. I have been working all this time; but, now, I have become old.

I am filled with all kinds of emotions to be here today. I am not sure what I should speak with you about today. I am a person who always felt you should always live with sincerity; and, I have been searching for a place where God is spoken with sincerity. I am a Christian, and I have always waited for Christ to come; so, what I have been thinking in the process follows.

I always prayed I would meet Christ before anyone else. Because of my desire to meet Christ before anyone else and that I was able to become his first person in South Korea to meet True Father.

So, I want to speak to you about a story that happened a long time ago. As Rev. Lee said in his introduction, I met True Father sixty-five years ago; and, I was able to work with True Father on the frontline in order to bring Salvation to all of humanity. I had many opportunities to feel and to realize many things that Father did, from large things to small things. Everything that Father did, God was with him, and God was standing behind him; that Father was working to unite all of humanity.

As I met you today, as I see you today, I am reminded of the Bible verse of the Gospel of John Chapter 16:33, where Jesus said, “be not of tribulation, but of good cheer; for I have overcome the world.” I know that everyone here has overcome many difficulties; so, you already look like very great people to me. Centered on our Second King, Hyung Jin Nim, his wife and everyone here, you have been working very hard to accomplish God’s Will. Even though this is in the middle of the mountains, it is not just in the middle of the mountains. This is a place for which, the Salvation of the entire World will be begin; so, I bow my head to you in gratitude that you have been working hard until now before I came.

I know that Jesus was a person of truth; and, I have always tried to live my life as a person of truth. I began sixty-five years ago with Father to bring truth and happiness to all humanity. I have been working all this time; but, now I have become old. The conditions were not were not favorable for me to come here; but, I heard that Hyung Jin Nim, the Second King, had asked me to come; and, when I heard these words, I just answered, “Yes!” without thinking of anything else.

I know that you are receiving a lot of persecution, and that you have many great difficulties and suffering. When I switched from the Presbyterian Church to the Unification Church, I received a lot of persecution; and, I was treated as a crazy person. When I first met Father, my intent was to witness to him, and to bring him to my church. Of course, it was very ridiculous that I would try to witness to the Lord of the Second Advent, but that was my intention then. My intention was to bring this man that God could use, that I would bring him to my Church, and we could work together to bring happiness to all humanity.

I’m old, but I know that God will make fools of the young, that God would use the old to make fools of the young, and that God would use the weak to make fools of the strong; so, despite my age, I’m here to work a little bit more before I pass on.

One thing I want to say to you today, “Pioneering is not an easy thing. Pioneering is very difficult process. I pioneered four churches. It was very difficult; but, I know everyone here is on that course of pioneering, and I’m quite certain, even though you are being criticized a lot, a being mistreated and persecuted a lot, still God will work through you. God will accomplish something that never happened in the past, and will never happen in the future. That is why everyone here is a very great person.”

I already spoken to Rev. Lee what I was about to say today. Those were the points I wanted to make. One thing I’m feeling right now is that everyone here works together with Hyung Jin Nim, the Second King, and with his wife, and with Father in the Spirit World, then God will accomplish a tremendous Spiritual work through you.

If you try to do it yourself, it will not work. It has to be God; and, True Father in the Spirit World working with you. I know through Hyung Jin Nim, the Second King and the Inheritor and Successor, has been working the risk of his life to accomplish God’s Will. Be absolutely certain that a tremendous work will be accomplished through him.

When I first met Father, he spoke in a very loud voice; and, I am thinking, I am young and he is not deaf. Why is he speaking in such a loud voice? Father was not trying to witness to one person or two persons, he was not witnessing to one nation or two nations. He’s was witnessing to everyone at that time, including all those who have gone to the Spirit World; and, that’s why he was speaking in such a loud voice, and he was using so many gestures. I still remember that first meeting that meeting that we had.

Right now, the Family Federation does not understand the work that Hyung Jin Nim is trying to accomplish here. They are persecuting him, and they are saying this is a person who is out of his mind; but, I don’t think that way. The reason is, When Father appointed him and Blessed him as the Successor and the Inheritor, Father had a purpose and a meeting we do not understand.

When I see what Mother is doing now, I cannot understand it, and I will try to explain why. She said that she will do the mission of the Messiah, and that’s she will do the mission of the Savior, and that she will do the mission of the Lord of the Second Advent, and she’s even talking about something that she’s being God. This was something that was completely ununderstandable.

When I heard her speaking this way, I prayed several nights in tears asking God what to do; and, I could not accept what she what saying. Though, I tried to accept it, there was no way to accept it; and, so I’ve come here, because I need to go a different way from her. I need to go a path that will accept Father’s Will. You may say what can a person who is ninety years old by the Korean way of counting, what can she do.

You may say the very least I could do is sit in a corner someplace and pray; so, one can accomplish God’s Will, so that Father wanted to accomplish; and, I wanted to see that World before I go.

I know that when everyone here becomes one from top to bottom, everyone here becomes one. God will not leave you alone. He will come to you, and He will work through you, and He will accomplish great things through you. I know that God is hundred percent positive. I am a hundred percent certain this will happen. I come here, and I want to be part of the revolution God desires He is building. I have many things to learn from you, and I’m hoping you will help me to learn and to work with you, and to charge forward with you.

Father was a person who was crazy to witness. I know that Father suffered a great deal on his course. You do not know; but, I was there for sixty-five years, so I know. I know when I first met him; he was wearing very pitiful clothes. He was wearing a dirty jacket, and he was wearing Korean pants. He was wearing socks that some American soldier had thrown away. But, that’s how he began.

But, Father in his Word never said this wasn’t going to work. This was as far as he would go. He was never discouraged or disappointed. So, never feel you will not be victorious, because God can work miracles, even beyond your imagination. Everyone hear wants to build Cheon Il Guk, where we can all live together in happiness. Let us work together to accomplish that and be victorious in that effort.

I cannot speak to you for a long time today. I’m not as I was in the past; so, I cannot give you a long speech. I will be behind you praying for you, and encouraging you through prayer. Let us work together with God, True Father and the Spirit World, and with Hyung Jin Nim to accomplish this wonderful miracle. I’m glad when I come here there are several people there are people I have known from the past, including Tim Elder, and so, I feel welcome. Please, as you work, take care of your health. Of course, you have to take care of your health; but, you have to work at the risk of your life. God does not work through people who are just doing things like they are usually done. You have to be crazy. You have to work like crazy. Then, when you work like crazy, then God takes pity on you, and helps you.

So, we are in the middle of a mountain, so there is not a lot of people here. Not a lot of witnessing is going on. Light the fire of witnessing, now. I know if we have the right heart and right attitude, we will not have to go out and find people. People will come here. If we work that way, then God will not ignore that. Father will not ignore that. He will help you, then people will come here, then we will fill more than the need up to fill these seats, so people will come here. Let us work this way.

There are Bible verses that say there will be tribulations in the world; but, there are other Bible verses that say we should be of good cheer, because Christ has overcome the world. As we work with God and True Father, and as we work with Hyung Jin Nim there will be victory. God will accomplish a great victory here.
